Strong Growth

Kendall County has experienced strong population growth since 2000, with more than 33,000 residents now living in the area. This represents a growth rate of 19% over the past seven years. During this same period the City of Boerne has grown even faster. Boerne's growth rate has been approximately 44%. According the 2010 Census Bureau the Kendall County population is 33,410 and Boerne's population is 10,471.  

Kendall County has the 5th highest population growth percentage change in Texas from 1990 to 2000:

  1. Collin County
  2. Williamson County
  3. Rockwall County
  4. Bandera County
  5. Kendall County

The growth trends are similar for Fair Oaks Ranch. To meet this demand, hundreds of houses are built countywide each year, with the average new unit costing $180,000 in 2005. According to the Kendall Appraisal District, the average home value in the county for 2006 was $212,000.
