Local Workforce Office

The Local Alamo Workforce Office

Texas Workforce Center, the local Texas Workforce Commission office, handles recruitment, screening, skill assessment and referrals and is linked by computer to other offices across the state.

Skills Development Fund

The Skills Development Fund of the Texas Workforce Commission assists businesses and labor union by designing, financing and implementing job training programs in partnership with public community and technical colleges for new or existing jobs in local businesses.

Business advisors are available from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Texas State University-San Marcos, through its Continuing Education Department, designs and delivers customized training to area businesses and industry.
