A straight shot on Interstate 10 from downtown San Antonio, Boerne offers residents both convenient access to the city and a quality of life that reflects its small-town heritage.
Kendall County is in the heart of the Texas Hill County. It features flowing streams, rolling hills, grass prairies, wooded areas and abundant wildflowers, native grasses, and both forest creatures and those found in the drier climates.
Progressive Farmer named Kendall County # 5 in it’s pick of their “2007 Best Places to Live in the Southwest Region”. Kendall County was also ranked #8 IN THE NATION on the list of counties that America's Wealth is moving to, by Forbe's study. It is home to four golf courses, Buckhorn, Cordillera, Fair Oaks Ranch and Tapatio Springs.
Kendall County is home too many family friendly events such as the annual Chocolate Walk and the St. Valentine's Day Massacre (motorcycle rally) in February, March holds the Chuck Wagon Cook-Off and Heritage Gathering, Texas Corvette Association Open Car Show and also the Parade of Artists in April, Hauptrasse Quilt Fest in May, the Berges Fest in June, Kendall County Fair in September, Dicken's on Main in December. On the third Saturday April - November Comfort will be holding Comfort Trade Days. Don't forget about the Second Saturday Art and Wine and Market Days on the second weekend of each month that Boerne hosts.
